The Faculty of Biology is one of the oldest and largest faculties of Sofia University.
The mission and goals of the Bulgarian Faculty of Biology are to study, research, develop and transmit human experience in the fundamental and applied aspects of biological science through high scientific and practical qualifications of all its teachers, and also to act as an institution of national importance, providing examples of scientific and teaching activity and forming the core of the Bulgarian intelligentsia.
The main educational goal of the BF is to provide training for highly qualified specialists in the field of biological sciences, biotechnology, teachers of biology and chemistry, geography and chemistry, based on and in accordance with the achievements of science and practice.
