Ophthalmology scientific conference with international participation

The conference focused on practical clinical ophthalmology and presented the latest technologies, therapeutic approaches, and scientific developments in the field.

Modern diagnostics in ophthalmology

The event began with a practical course on ultrasound diagnostics of the eye, which presented the principles of echographic examination, diagnosis of intraocular tumors, traumatic injuries, and orbital echography.

Uveitis – a multidisciplinary approach

A special module examined diagnostic algorithms, serological tests, and modern therapeutic strategies for uveitis, with the participation of specialists from various medical fields.

Corneal diseases and refractive surgery

The corneal symposium presented new approaches to the treatment of keratoconus, neurotrophic keratitis, and corneal neovascularization, as well as modern refractive surgical techniques and intraocular lens implantation.

Cataract surgery

A special session examined innovative surgical techniques and the management of complications in cataract surgery, including new generations of intraocular lenses and modern methods for optimizing visual outcomes.

Retinal diseases and new therapies

A separate scientific panel was devoted to retinal pathology, including macular diseases, retinopathies, and intraocular tumors, as well as the latest pharmacological therapies and anti-VEGF strategies.

Masquerade syndromes in ophthalmology

A special symposium examined diseases that mimic inflammatory processes in the eye, such as paraneoplastic retinopathy and vitreous lymphoma, emphasizing the importance of accurate diagnosis.

International speakers

The main speakers at the event included leading international specialists, such as Prof. Ehud Assia, an expert in cataract surgery, and Breno Lino, a specialist in ocular echography. The program also featured renowned Bulgarian ophthalmologists from university and private clinics in Sofia, Varna, and Plovdiv.
