The Faculty of Biology at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” is proud to announce the International Conference on Natural Sciences & Biotechnology – KLIMENT’S DAYS 2025, to be held on November 6 – 7, 2025, in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Celebrating academic excellence and innovation, ICNSB – KLIMENT’S DAYS 2025 aims to unite leading scientists, researchers, and young scholars from around the world in a vibrant forum dedicated to the advancement of Natural Sciences and Biotechnology. This year’s edition continues a distinguished tradition of interdisciplinary dialogue, cutting-edge discoveries, and meaningful collaboration.
We are also pleased to announce a Satellite Scientific Conference on “Reintroduction of Conservation-Reliant Species”, to be held in conjunction with the main conference. This focused event will provide a platform for experts in Conservation Biology, Ecology, and Wildlife Management to share research, strategies, and best practices addressing the unique challenges of species conservation in the 21st century.
The conference will feature keynote lectures by renowned experts, interactive sessions, poster presentations, and ample opportunities for networking and idea exchange. An invoice with a letter of confirmation will be sent to participant on receipt of the respective registration and payment.
We warmly invite researchers to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at the International Conference on Natural Sciences and Biotechnology – Kliment’s Days 2025. To ensure consistency in the conference proceedings, all submissions must adhere to the formatting guidelines outlined below. Accepted abstracts, submitted with valid registration, will be included in the official ICNSB – Kliment’s Days 2025 Book of Abstracts.

Authors will be notified by email of the acceptance status of their abstracts, along with further presentation details, by August 15.

Abstract Format Guidelines (Template docx file):
Abstracts must be written in English.
Title: All caps, bold, Times New Roman, 14 pt
Authors: Full names in lower case, Times New Roman, 12 pt.
Include full institutional affiliation(s).
Underline the presenting author.
Length: Maximum of 250 words.
Include aim, methods, main results, and conclusions.
Use single spacing and justify the text.
Presentation Policy:
Each registered participant may present one abstract (oral or poster). Co-authorship, however, is not affected by this limit.
Abstracts that do not adhere to these guidelines will be returned for correction.
Each participant will receive an online certificate of participation at the email address provided during registration, within two weeks after the conclusion of the event.
GETTING THERE
Sofia is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria, with the main international gateway being Sofia Airport. It is well connected to major European cities via regular flights operated by national carriers and low-cost airlines.
Sofia has a well-developed public transport and taxi system, and the city center is just a 20-minute drive from the airport.
Organized transfers
The conference organizing company will provide transfers from Sofia Airport to the hotel of your choice and back.
The cost for an individual transfer in one direction is 45 Euro.
Booking and payment can be done through the online system not later than 27 October 2025.

PASSPORTS & VISAS
Bulgaria has the European Union’s Common Visa Policy as a member country accepting European citizens freely. All non-EU citizens are required to have a passport to enter the EU with the appropriate visas. Conference attendees are personally responsible for making their own visa arrangements. MONETARY SYSTEM
The national currency is the Bulgarian Lev. Bank notes of the following denominations are in circulation: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 Levs. 1 Euro = 1,95583 BGN.
There are foreign exchange offices and ATMs everywhere in the city. It’s always prudent to carry a little cash, however, in case you can’t find an ATM or bank office nearby. You can always change cash at the hotel, though the commission will be higher.
Make sure you have enough of the national currency when you plan to visit local markets and shops.
TIPPING
When a gratuity is not included in your bill, which is usually the case, 10% is customary. If service is outstanding, you could go as high as 15%. With taxi drivers, you usually just round up the sum if you have been happy with the ride or for the sake of convenience.
CLIMATE
The climate in Bulgaria is moderate continental with beautiful blooming spring, dry and hot summer, long and pleasant autumn, and mild winter with lots of opportunity for skiing.
In November, Sofia usually has low temperatures and moderate rainfall. Anticipate daytime temperatures around 11°C, while night temperatures can drop to 1°C.
