6-7 November 2025
The Kliment’s Days 2025 International Conference on Natural Sciences & Biotechnology brought together researchers from around the world to discuss advanced developments across plant biotechnology, cell biology, molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, ecology, and conservation science. The speakers shared interesting studies, practical case examples, experimental results, and good practices. The two poster sessions showcased additional interesting scientific research and stimulated discussions, valuable exchanges of experience, and new professional connections.
The first day focused on advances in plant stress tolerance, hormone signaling, bioactive compounds, and innovative biotechnological approaches. Parallel sessions highlighted trends in biology education. Afternoon sessions shifted toward cell physiology, immunology, and microbiology, presenting new insights into inflammation, antibody behavior, immunotherapy models, and microbial applications.
The second day featured breakthroughs in genomics, biodiversity monitoring, environmental restoration, and wildlife conservation. Presenters showcased modern NGS solutions, methods for ecological data normalization, and strategies for ecosystem recovery. The conference concluded with a satellite session dedicated to reintroduction programs for conservation-reliant species, emphasizing regional and international efforts to restore vulnerable animal populations.
The conference proved to be highly engaging and inspiring, especially for the young researchers and the students of the Faculty of Biology in Sofia. For them, the opportunity to encounter science through the perspective of experienced researchers is truly invaluable, offering motivation, insight, and a deeper connection to the scientific community.
