8-10 October 2026
Dear colleagues and friends – medical doctors, residents, radiographers, and students from my country and across the Balkans,
It is our great privilege to invite you to attend the XXI Balkan Congress of Radiology and the XXI Congress of the Bulgarian Association of Radiology, which will take place simultaneously in early October 2026 near Varna.
Two congresses, sharing the same number, at the same time – what a wonderful coincidence! This provides us with an even greater opportunity to create an engaging and attractive educational program, enriched by the participation of distinguished lecturers from many countries. It will also open wider possibilities for young colleagues – PhD students and residents – to present their research and exchange ideas.
As in previous years, both congresses will cover a wide range of topics in radiology and related sciences and specialties, emphasizing innovations, actual problems and guidelines.
They will be preceded by an ESOR course, ensuring additional educational value. By bringing together professionals and learners from neighboring countries, we hope to foster new collaborations and lasting friendships. In the Balkans, we have a lot in common in our profession, in our needs, and more broadly in our spirituality.
So please, save the date: 8–10 October 2026.
The venue will be the Hotel International, which offers excellent congress facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. It is located in the heart of the renowned seaside resort Golden Sands – as its name suggests a splendid place on the seashore, usually warm and sunny in early autumn, with magnificent views.
We look forward to welcoming you in October 2026!
With warm regards,
